A New Life for Your Old Spray Booth

Transforming an Old Spray Booth with Saicozero Regenerative Filtration and Climate Control

Before
After

Spray booths play a crucial role in industries that require precise and efficient application of coatings, paints, and finishes. However, with the rapid advancements in technology, older spray booths can become outdated and inefficient. In this blog post, we will explore the remarkable upgrade journey of an old spray booth, where a series of improvements were made to enhance its performance, reduce operating costs, and improve comfort for the operator.

Cleaning and Replacing Filters

The first step in the upgrade process involved thoroughly cleaning the spray booth and replacing all the filters. By replacing the old filters, the booth regained its original airflow capacity, ensuring better air quality and preventing potential equipment damage caused by clogged filters.

Flat Comfort Floor with Internal Ramp

Our signature Flat Comfort Floor with directional perforation was added to the whole surface of the booth. This will ensure a uniform downdraft airflow and improved comfort for the operator.

This booth is for painting industrial components and trolleys are often used, which makes the smooth surface of our flat floor a better solution. The ramp allows for easy access to the work area.

New-Age Saicozero Regenerator with Regenerative Filtration

The centrepiece of the spray booth upgrade was the installation of our state-of-the-art regenerator featuring Regenerative Filtration. This innovative technology not only doubled the airflow inside the booth but also significantly reduced operating costs.

Before
After

Previously, the client was experiencing high operating costs with a very low airflow, causing bad paint jobs. With Saicozero’s regenerator, they will now be able to paint at full capacity with an 0,40 m/s airflow without having to worry about the bills at the end of the month

Climate Control

We also installed our Climate Control system. The only system that lowers the temperature inside spray booths with minimum energy consumptions and without wasting a drop of water

Given that this booth is located in a hotter region, where temperatures reach up to 40°C or more in the summer, the ability to control the temperature inside the booth will have a revolutionary impact on the client’s overall productivity year-round.

Why upgrade and not replace?

In many cases, upgrading an existing spray booth can be a more advantageous option than replacing it with a completely new one. Here are a few reasons why:

  • Upgrading a spray booth is often more cost-effective than investing in a brand-new booth. Upgrading allows businesses to make targeted improvements to specific components or systems, such as filters, generators, without the need for a full booth replacement.
  • Replacing an entire spray booth can be a complex and time-consuming process. It often involves dismantling the existing booth, disposing of it, and installing a new one. On the other hand, upgrading a booth involves targeted enhancements and modifications that can be implemented with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. This ensures that businesses can continue their production activities without significant downtime or interruptions.
  • For us, it is also a matter of principle. In today’s era of sustainability, if you can upgrade any piece of material instead of throwing it away, that is always the best solution.

Conclusions

And voilà, there you have it! The restoration and upgrade of an old spray booth with new cutting-edge technology to enhance productivity, efficiency and comfort for the operators. Maintaining the booth structure and working components, while improving the overall system to achieve better paint jobs in less time with less operating costs

Always two steps ahead in technology
